The Wayne County Medical Examiner's office has been granted accreditation by the National Association of Medical Examiners. This is a result of the partnership between the county and the Department of Pathology. You can read about this collaboration in the most recent issue of Inside Pathology.
More than 2,500 unexpected, violent, and suspicious deaths are investigated by the team at Wayne County Medical Examiner's office each year.
