Before we welcome a new class of residents and fellows this July, the Department of Pathology will celebrate our graduating house officers, fellows, and clinical instructors. "Congratulations to our graduating class! We look forward to following your successes as you navigate the dynamically changing field of pathology moving forward," said Dr. Charles Parkos, Chair of Pathology.
This year, seven residents, seven fellows, and 10 clinical instructors will be graduating and beginning the next steps in their careers.
Our graduating residents:
Haley Amoth: Dr. Amoth will stay at Michigan Medicine to complete a Hematopathology fellowship.
Thomas Herb: Dr. Herb will stay at Michigan Medicine to complete a Forensic Pathology fellowship.
Nathan McCammon (Chief Resident): Dr. McCammon will stay at Michigan Medicine as a Clinical Instructor-Surgical Pathology fellowship.
Corey Post (Chief Resident): Dr. Post will stay at Michigan Medicine to complete a Hematopathology fellowship.
Fysal Shennib: Dr. Shennib will stay at Michigan Medicine as a Clinical Instructor-Surgical Pathology fellowship.
Nicole Tomm: Dr. Tomm will stay at Michigan Medicine as a Clinical Instructor-Gastrointestinal Surgical Pathology fellowship.
Maxwell Wang: Dr. Wang will join NYU Langone Health to complete a Women's Pathology fellowship.
Our graduating fellows:
Matthew Bayes: Dr. Bayes will travel to Baltimore, MD for a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship.
Hans Magne Hamnvag: Dr. Hamnvag will join the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN to complete a Surgical Pathology fellowship.
Anup Jnawali: Dr. Jnawali will join Beth Israel Deaconess to complete a fellowship.
Vincent Laufer: Dr. Laufer will stay at Michigan Medicine to complete an Informatics fellowship.
Jaclyn Plotzke: Dr. Plotzke will join the Michigan Medicine Dermatology faculty.
Arjun Reddy: Dr. Reddy will join Tempus Corporate Lab.
Andrew Schuler: Dr. Schuler will join UM Health West as a Dermatopathologist.

Heather Chen-Yost: Dr. Chen-Yost will stay at Michigan Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
Sabina Desar: Dr. Desar will travel to New Mexico to complete a Cytopathology fellowship.
Efrain Gutierrez-Lanz: Dr. Gutierrez-Lanz will join LabCorp as a Hematopathologist.
Geoffrey Halling: Dr. Halling will stay at Michigan Medicine to complete a Head & Neck pathology fellowship.
Suguna Narayan: Dr. Narayan will stay at Michigan Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
William Perry: Dr. Perry will stay at Michigan Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
Julianne Szczepanski: Dr. Szczepanski will stay at Michigan Medicine to complete a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship.
Kriti Tiwari: Dr. Tiwari will join Mount Sinai Hospital, New York to complete a Breast Pathology fellowship.
Mary Torrez: Dr. Torrez will travel to New Mexico to complete a Cytopathology fellowship.
Katelyn Zebrowski: Dr. Zebrowski will join Michigan Pathology Specialists as a Surgical Pathologist.
