We have an amazing group of fellows for 2017 – 2018. Please join us in welcoming them!

 

John Sherbeck, MD just finished his residency here at U-M and is staying on as our Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine Fellow.

     
 

Joining our Cytopathology team are Stacy Arnold, MD from the University of Arizona, and Keluo Yao, MD from Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

     
 

In Dermatopathology, you’ll find both a new face and a familiar one as Jayson Miedema, MD arrives from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and Michael Wang, MD stays another year after his residency.

     
 

You’ll find the same in Forensic Pathology as Adam Covach, MD from the University of Wisconsin joins our own Sarah Avedschmidt, MD.

     
 

Former Chief-Resident, Cody Carter, MD will complete his Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship here.

     
 

Mark Ettel, MD travels to U-M from New York University School of Medicine for a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology.

     
 

Tanmay Shah, DO joins us from Hershey Medical Center and will specialize in Genitourinary Pathology.

     
 

This year’s three Hematopathology fellows are Shoreh Eliaszadeh, MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Yulei Shen, MD, PhD, from Beaumont Health System, and Forrest Huls, MD who just finished a year with us in Chemical Pathology.

     
 

HLA fellow, Kristina Davis, MD did her residency here and rejoins us from Mayo Clinic, Rochester.

     
 

Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellow Michael Carter, MD, PhD has traveled to us from Dalhousie University & Queen Elizabeth II Health Science Center, while Molecular Genetic Fellow Nathan Charles, MD, PhD stays on at U-M after completing a Hematopathology Fellowship.

     
 

Drew Pratt, MD is our new Neuropathology Fellow, joining us from the National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health.

     
 

Our new Pulmonary Pathology fellow is Kenneth Hughes, MD, joining us from Mount Sinai Hospital.

     
 

Rounding out the group are Surgical Pathology Fellows Ellen East, MD and Osman Yilmaz, MD, both from U-M and Zaid Mahdi, MD, PhD, from Wayne State University.
