Flow calendar etiquette

  • For your own benefit, budgets permitting, please DO schedule more than the amount of time you think you will need, particularly if you are new to flow.  This is my personal recommendation based on experience.
  • For the benefit of others, please cancel appointments as soon as you know you are not going to be using the time.  Same-day cancellations can be problematic.
  • Likewise, once you become facile with the machine and familiar with the length of time your experiments take, pare back the amount of time you schedule to allow space for other users.
  • Please try to be on time.  In the beginning this will be quite difficult.  That is one reason I recommend scheduling extra time.  But coming late and running into someone else's appointment creates problems.
  • If you are using the machine after 5 pm weekdays, please check the calendar carefully to see if you are the last user of the day.  If so, it is YOUR responsibility to properly shut down the machine!  It unnecessarily increases wear and tear on the machine to leave it on overnight.
