MCP Graduate Students Unwind at Gallup Park

By Lynn McCain | July 26 2023

Partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low-to-mid 80’s made for perfect conditions for Michigan Medicine Pathology’s Molecular and Cellular Pathology graduate students and significant others, faculty, and staff to enjoy a day out at Gallup Park in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, July 25th. A picnic catered by Chipotle Mexican Grill created a central point for people to gather and chat while Pétanque boules and jacks were thrown and measured nearby.

Approximately 40 people attended the picnic and enjoyed their time along the Huron River waterfront, walking the trails and enjoying the scenic waterway. Families got to know one another as our graduate students unwound and had a great time! This is just one of many social activities hosted by the MCP Graduate Program, to support wellness and work-life balance for our students and their families.

If you are interested in learning how to join our graduate program, please reach out to our co-directors, Drs. Simon Hogan and Jean-Francois (Jeff) Rual, or visit our MCP Program page.
