Congratulations to Michael Bachman, M.D., Assistant Professor in Pathology, and Matthew Schaller, PhD, Research Investigator in Pathology who have both been awarded one of 14 MICHR Pilot Grants.

Dr. Bachman's proposal is: Identification of Klebsiella pneumoniae virulence factors in hospitalized patients.

Dr. Schaller's grant is for the study of: Notch ligand expression on PBMCs as a diagnostic for tuberculosis infection.

 

MICHR pilot grants are designed to promote the development of novel solutions that will ultimately improve patient and community health outcomes.
