Third-Annual Equality Walk for Juneteenth

By Camren Clouthier | June 13 2022

On Friday, June 17, 2022, the Department of Pathology will host the third-annual Equality Walk at the North Campus Research Complex (NCRC).

This year's event, like the previous ones, will stand up against racial discrimination and in recognition of the Juneteenth holiday. Participants can expect to loop around the perimeter of the NCRC campus and stop briefly to honor the life of George Floyd. Additionally, the first 100 participants in this year's walk will receive a free limited-edition t-shirt.

Questions concerning the Equality Walk can be directed to Jenna Koelsch at jkoelsch@med.umich.edu.

For this year's Equality Walk, the Department has created a GoFundMe fundraiser to benefit Growing Hope, Inc., a local non-profit that fosters an equitable and sustainable food system where all people are empowered to grow, buy, sell, prepare, and eat nourishing food.
