Pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia overlying a dermal granular cell tumor.

Dr. Rajiv M. Patel, along with Dr. Steven D. Billings and Dr. Darya Buehler, has edited the textbook, Soft Tissue Tumors of the Skin. A useful tool for daily sign-out, the beautifully-illustrated book outlines the diagnostic hazards encountered with these lesions while emphasizing the clinicopathologic features and differential diagnosis of the tumors.

In addition to co-editing the publication, Patel contributed to eight of the book’s thirteen chapters including Mimics of Cutaneous Mesenchymal Tumors; Benign Fibrous, Fibrohistiocytic, and Myofibroblastic Lesions; and Adipocytic Tumors.

Former Michigan Medicine Pathology residency and fellowship trainee, Dr. Reena Singh, who is now at Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and Assistant Professor Aaron Udager, MD, PhD, are also contributors. E-book and hardcover editions are available from Amazon and Springer Science.
