A team of researchers led by Peter Lucas, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pathology, Linda McAllister-Lucas, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pediatrics, and Matthew Van Beek, former graduate student in the Molecular and Cellular Pathology Graduate Program, reported this week on a new mechanism underlying high-fat-diet induced insulin resistance, a precursor to type II diabetes.  The work was highlighted by the Medical School at and published in the journal Cell Reports.
