Global Pathology Summit

In collaboration with the University of Michigan's Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) the department of pathology hosted the first Global Pathology Summit on November 4, 2024.

The summit brought together around 100 experts from around the world to discuss key topics in global health and pathology. The opportunity allowed networking and fostered new partnerships. The success of the event supported the establishment of global pathology centers both national and internationally and resulting in publishing "Scaling Global Pathology Education: Insights from the Global Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (GPALM) Consortium", January 2025.
