Dr. Sriram Venneti named Scientific Research Director

Effective July 1, 2022, Dr. Sriram Venneti, Professor of Pathology, was appointed as Scientific Research Director for the Chad Carr Pediatric Brain Tumor Center (CC-PBTC). Additionally, Dr. Carl Koschmann, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, was appointed as Clinical Research Director for the CC-PBTC.

Dr. Charles Parkos, Chair of Pathology, congratulated Venneti and Koschmann, "Drs. Koschmann and Venneti are both internationally recognized leaders in the field of pediatric brain cancer and have already made major impacts in the center’s ability to support and promote ground-breaking research.  As co-directors of the CC-PBTC, they will develop and advance a bold and innovative scientific vision to further our understanding of the pathogenesis of pediatric brain tumors. They will assist center members in advancing new treatments and approaches to achieve improved outcomes and quality of life for all children with brain tumors."
